Thelodus: Silurian Jawless Fish in 3D

Thelodus is a genus of extinct jawless fish from the Silurian period (~443–419 Mya), with fossils found across Europe, Asia, and North America. These agile swimmers measured 5–15 cm (up to 1 m in some species), their bodies clad in small, non-overlapping scales with spines and grooves. A powerful caudal fin, dorsal fin, and rudimentary pectoral fins aided manoeuvrability, while a flattened body suggests a bottom-dwelling, plankton-feeding lifestyle.
